Reservation and Messaging Terms
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms cover the online reservation request form operated by TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia, 1210 South James Road, Columbus, OH 43227 (“we”, “us”, “the restaurant”), and the emails and text messages we send in connection with it. By submitting a reservation request you agree to them. If you would rather not, you are welcome to book by telephone on (614) 236-1392 instead.
Your agreement is with the restaurant. The companies that build, host and deliver this service for us are described in section 6. They act on our instructions and are not parties to these terms.
1. A request is not a reservation
Submitting the form sends us a request. It does not hold a table. Every request is reviewed by a member of our family and you will receive a separate message confirming whether we can seat you. Your table is reserved only once you have received that confirmation.
We aim to answer within 24 hours, but that is a goal, not a promise. Requests for the same day are answered as quickly as we are able, but if you need a table within the next few hours, please call (614) 236-1392 rather than waiting on a reply. If you have not heard from us, assume the table is not yet reserved.
We do not take deposits or payment details through this form, and we will never ask for card details by text message.
2. Messages about your reservation
When you submit a request you agree to receive emails and text messages about that reservation at the telephone number and email address you give us. These are service messages, not advertising, and they are required in order for us to run the booking service. They may be sent using automated technology. They include:
- Confirmation that we have received your request
- Whether we can accommodate you
- Any change to the date, time or party size
- Notice if we have to cancel, and why
- A link allowing you to view or cancel your booking
You will receive roughly one to four messages per reservation. We do not send service messages on any other subject.
If you no longer wish to receive these, reply STOP to any text or contact us on (614) 236-1392. Please note that we may then be unable to tell you whether your table was confirmed, so you should call to check.
3. Marketing messages are optional
Separately, and only if you tick the optional box on the form, you agree that we may send you occasional emails and text messages about specials, seasonal menus and events at the restaurant. These may be sent using automated technology.
Agreeing to marketing messages is not a condition of making a reservation, of being confirmed, or of dining with us. You may leave that box unticked and everything else works exactly the same.
We send these no more than a few times a month. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or calling (614) 236-1392. Opting out of marketing does not affect messages about your reservations.
4. Stopping messages, and getting help
Reply STOP to any text message from us to stop further texts to that number. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. Reply START to begin receiving them again.
Reply HELP to any text for assistance, or contact us directly on (614) 236-1392.
5. Costs and delivery
We do not charge for any message. Message and data rates may be charged by your mobile carrier depending on your plan. Message frequency varies according to how often you book with us.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, your device and your email provider, and we cannot guarantee that any particular message will arrive or arrive on time. Emails may be filtered as junk, so please check that folder. If you are expecting a confirmation and have not received one, please call (614) 236-1392.
6. Your information
To take a reservation we collect your name, telephone number, email address, party size, requested date and time, and anything you choose to tell us in the notes field. We also record the date and time you agreed to these terms, the wording you agreed to, and technical details such as the network address your request came from, which help us detect misuse.
We use that information only to:
- Contact you about your reservation
- Seat you and prepare for any requests you have made
- Keep our own record of bookings and attendance
- Prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the form
- Send marketing messages, if and only if you have separately opted in
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Mobile telephone numbers and text message consent are never shared with any third party for that party’s own marketing purposes.
We share your details only with the service providers who operate this booking system on our behalf, and only so that they can deliver the service. They are:
- Lucidly Digital, which builds, hosts and maintains this booking system for us and may access reservation records in order to run and support it
- Our website and database hosting providers
- Our email and text message delivery providers
Each of them handles your information under our instructions and may not use it for anything else. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests and staff.
Anything you type in the notes field is voluntary. If you tell us about an allergy, a medical need or anything else sensitive, we use it only to look after you on the day. Please do not put anything in the notes that you would not want sent by ordinary email.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee that it will never be accessed without authority.
We keep reservation records for as long as we need them to run the restaurant, including keeping track of repeat cancellations and missed bookings, and no longer than is reasonable for that purpose. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling (614) 236-1392. Deleting your details may mean we cannot honour an upcoming booking.
7. Arriving, cancelling and missed bookings
If your plans change, please cancel using the link in your confirmation or by calling (614) 236-1392. It costs you nothing and it lets us give the table to somebody else.
We hold a confirmed table for 15 minutes past the booked time. If your party has not arrived by then and we have not heard from you, we may give the table to other guests. If you are running late, call us and we will do what we can.
We keep a record of confirmed bookings where the party did not arrive. If a telephone number has repeatedly failed to turn up, we may call to confirm before holding a table, or decline to take a further booking online. We do not charge a fee for a missed booking.
8. Our right to decline or change a booking
We may decline any request, and may cancel or change a confirmed booking, where we reasonably need to. Examples include a kitchen or staffing problem, a private event, severe weather, a request that appears to be fraudulent or made in bad faith, or a party that is larger than the one booked. Where we can, we will tell you as early as possible by the contact details you gave us. Our responsibility in that case is limited to cancelling the booking; we do not pay travel or other costs.
Special requests, including dietary and accessibility needs, are requests. We do our best to meet them but cannot guarantee that we will. If you have a food allergy, please also tell your server in person when you arrive. A note on a booking form is not a substitute for that conversation, and our kitchen handles common allergens.
9. Accurate details, age and fair use
Please give us a telephone number and email address that are yours and that you can be reached on. Do not submit somebody else’s contact details without their knowledge. You must be 18 or over to submit a request and to agree to receive text messages from us. By submitting a request you confirm that you are.
The form is for genuine bookings by the person who will be dining or their companion. Do not use it to make bookings you do not intend to keep, to hold tables for resale, or with automated tools. We may refuse or cancel bookings and block further use of the form where we believe this is happening.
10. No guarantees, and the limits of our responsibility
The booking form and the messages we send are provided as they are and as available. We do not promise that the form will always be working, that a request will always reach us, or that any message will be delivered. Where the form is unavailable or you are unsure whether a request went through, please call (614) 236-1392.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither the restaurant nor the service providers named in section 6 are liable to you for any loss arising from the use of this form or from any message we send or fail to send, including a request that is not received, a confirmation that is delayed or does not arrive, a booking that we cancel, or any indirect loss such as travel costs or lost time. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability for anything connected with a booking is limited to $100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude, and nothing in them takes away any right you have under consumer law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute connected with them will be dealt with by the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you agree to those courts having jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any right you have to bring a claim in your own state.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies. The wording you agreed to when you made a request is recorded with that request. Submitting a new request after a change means you accept the terms as they then stand.
13. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we may still enforce it later. These terms, together with the consent wording on the form, are the whole agreement between you and us about the booking service. They are not a contract for the supply of food or drink, which is a matter for the restaurant when you dine with us.
